Unsafe Baby Bottles

feature photo

Recent news claimed that polycarbonate baby bottles leak measurable amounts of bisphenol A (BPA); thus, they actually impose danger to our babies. Moreover, heating the bottles makes the harm twice as bad. A test has been conducted by a Toronto environmental group and the results show leakage of BPA on three major brands of baby bottles; namely, Gerber, Playtex, and Avent.

Some researchers believe that BPA is related to sex hormone imbalances, including prostate and breast cancer. On the other hand, some baby bottle-makers are persistent that BPA seeping from the bottles are of little amounts only and parents should not be worried about it.

However, it is the nature of our mothers to care about everything that concerns their babies. Would anyone be brave enough to take the risk considering that her baby’s health is at stake?
