The Post birth Period
June 12th, 2008 • Related • Filed Under
During the post-birth period, the new mother’s focus should be on eating a healthy diet and remembering that her body needs to recover from both the term of the pregnancy, and the delivery itself. The sort of diet that a mother needs shouldn’t be more than two thousand calories a day incorporating a small amount of fiber; but it also requires regular amounts of the following: *A healthy combination of carbohydrates (50 percent) *Protein (30 percent) *A small amount of fat (10 percent)
These percentages leave a little for a few of life’s luxuries which we all need but should not indulge too much in if weight loss is important.
